my gsr ahs stayed stock for the past year because i ahvn't treid to do anything yet but im going to try and pitch to my parents to let me modify it anybody got any suggestions on convincing them

yeah, if its your car, then you can do what ever you want, bar none. An d you parents won't notice under the hood mods.
this is true too...college is a lot more fun when you have some cash to play with

...but if something "happens" to "fail", many aftermarket performance parts like headers and exhausts can be a more economical decision than replacing with stock IMO.

if u own the car, and its under ur parents' names, then that might have somethin to do with it. When i got my car, my parents agreed to be the owner of the car, but it would be MY car, and i am the primary driver. BUT, they will let me do whatever i want to do to my car. They don't like the idea of spending so much money on my car because insurance will not cover it unless u want it to. If u have ur insurance company cover the aftermarket stuff, u will have to pay more insurance than u already do. TRUST me. Save for college, you can bye a nice car when u get a real job. You arent even a quarter into ur life i assume, so u have PLENTY of time to do what u want.

hmmm true to that im getting a bike for college also i plan to have my gsr and a bike. And money really isn't taht big of a problem i have like 16 grand saved from work already
