for all y'all that live in TEXAS, licence plate covers are ILLIGAL now up to a 200$ fine.. just so u know..it doesnt matter if it doesnt cover the numbers or letters ANY PART of the plate that is covered is in violation....so take off those covers...*sigh* stupid texas wasting our good ol tax on these stupid laws...

I have license plate covers, tinted too. I can see why the law is passed, but a $200 fine is refuckingdiculous.

 

must be able to see 100% or the tag. My friend in Fl got a ticket for having too much dirt on his tag.

He is talking about Photo Blocker a spray that goes on your licence plates and when you run a red light or the police are doing photo radar your plates reflect the flash like taking a picture in a mirror with the flash on.
I think a company called Phantom Plates sells it and I saw it on the news that the police are not happy about it because it "helps" people break the law. No it doesn't look as nice as the tinted licence plate covers but from the news segment I saw it appears to work. I was also wondering if anyone has tryed it?

No...those tinted plastic license plate covers that go over the whole plate. Personally, I think they look kinda stupid. (that and they don't use photo radar here, yet)
