i have driven both and when i was searching for a car i was interested in both
but i have a gsr

reasons for me: b16 has no torque
gear ratio in b16 not good for freeway ie 80mph
i liked the interior better
i was going to do jdm conversion, and looks better then imo
better brakes and abs
its not a civic (had 2 before, still have 1 now)
i dont need passengers

cons: higher insurance
3rd gen integra's lasted for 8 years so see a lot around
hate having passengers in teh rear

i would have spent the money on the gsr to fix it probably

i only paid 500 for my gsr and it had some probs. thats why i let it go for 1,500. needed some bodywork that i really didnt wanna spend my money on. it also needed a new cv joint and some other crap. i could have sold it for more money but i saw this civic si for a really good price and i had to trade something cuz i didnt have the cash for my down payment. I'm happy w/the si though. it has an aem cai, header , and an exhaust. also a high flow cat. the car is pretty damn quick.

Yeah I like Si's they are nice. I test drove one when I was looking for my car and happened to stumble upon my Integra in the process. Mines an LS though. I've never drivin a GS-R. I hear they are pretty sweet though. Good luck with your SI man. Sounds like a fun ride.

try again pal, sorry but the 99-2000 civic si will out pull the gsr stop light to stop light. The civic was a better buy to me because the insurance was cheaper, I wasn't spending 23k instead of 17k. For the extra 6k the gsr wasn't worth it. What would I gain? Like 10 hp? The civic si looks better in my opinion anyway. I hate the hatch/coupe look.

1999 Honda Civic Si (0-60) = 7.2 (1/4 mile) = 15.7
1997 Acura Integra GS-R (0-60) 7.1 (1/4 mile) = 15.5

I *highly* doubt either car would "pull" on one another from stop light to stop light. They are both VERY evenly matched.

So? You're telling me a stock Integra GS-R has never pulled an equal time in the 1320?

Blind love my friend.
