Default Think this car is worth $7500?

http://www.imagestation.com/album/pi...65655&start=11

If you dont have an Imagestation account, :fawk:

Its a 89 RX-7 Turbo II with 38K miles, hks fcd, autometer boost and a/f on a piller with pod, 3inch midpipe back to apexi n1 muffler, walbro 255 fuel pump, permacool efan and adjustable switch, racing beat 2.5 downpipe, k&n drop in air filter.. paint it flaking off in some spots, but looks amazing in others.

im considering trading my civic to the guy who selling it..straight up, no cash involved. what you guys think?

damn that car is in mint condition ... got my vote for  ... but i wonder what's wrong with it. seems a bit too good to be true.

edit ... skip the mint remark ... i finally noticed the paint chips. (the one near the roof looks nasty)

i'd have to say that the car is worth about 5K - 6K

looks good except that spot on the rear there. extra low mileage is always a plus... I'd buy it if I wanted it. So if you want it, you should get it.

But I'm not sure it's 6500 bucks worth... but maybe in the aftermarket stuff he's got on there it gets about near there.

Ive seen the S5 TIIs (89-91) go for around 10G with that kind of mileage, but I just hesitate cause its alot of money for an older car. But its in real nice shape.. so conflicted. h: KBB is telling me that its worth $4,120 in excellent condition.. haha but what do they know.

I go by that a lot of the time, and it's often about right. real market value differs from what a book tells you, but the KBB price often reflects the actual price... at least whenever I look up cars on autotrader and then KBB.

But it'd definitely be over that price for a car with that kind of mileage... I'd say 5500 maybe 6g's. then again the paint is sort of an issue...

people always think lower miles = good. But that doesnt mean squat if scheduled maintenance hasnt been performed. Parts get old, and just because the miles are low, doesnt mean those parts shouldnt have already been replaced.

true... very true. Especially in an older car such as this. rubber hoses don't just screw up from using them, but from age as well.

Aren't the rubber hoses on those motors the most easily broken parts which are also very vital to the operation of the motor, which causes the motor itself to fry if even one or two of them are messed up?

one long run-on sentence

Low milage S5 TII

I don't care for the auto seatbelts of the S5 amoung other things, but that looks like a great car. Some of you guys fail to realize that a low milage Series 5 Turbo II is a rare ass car and is worth a fair pile of cash, maybe not quite that much, but close.

My verdict: Buy it (trade for it, whatever )
