well the skyline was not consistantly built they actually stopped production of skylines for a while.......... it was said that the very first two skylines to roll off the assembly line were for the emporer of that time there is a good history behind the skylines if you actually read about it i have the book somwhere in my room it also talks about the fairlady z also

it seems like the skylines would go for 2 or 3 generations without drastic changes, then it would be like a completely new car again.

Accords and Civics get completely redone each generation dont they? Other cars dont they just change the look a bit and few other minor things?

I know my car going to the 4th gen Accords had very few similarities. I dunno about the 5th and 6th gen Accords tho, very similar cars.
