Default Digicam recommendations, please...

I took over 50+ pictures at a school club picnic and half of them were blank, due to the fact that the film was exposed while I was putting it in. It took a while, because it is old camera, and I cannot afford to have these mishaps any longer. This was a fairwell picnic to the Seniors in the club and am royally pissed off about it.

If anybody can make recommendations, it will be greatly appreciated...

I have a Sony DSC-S85, its a 4.1 megapixel with 6x zoom and 4x digital zoom. It can take pictures as big as 2272x1704. It has adjustable white balance. It can take videos and stuff. It's awesome. Cost me like $500, I suggest you get the 128mb memory stick. I can take about 130 giant picture with that. The battery on it lasts forever also, I used it for about 6 hours straight one time and it didn't even run out all the way.
