Friend: the first time around it seems rather straightforward

ManinCamo: my brain was working overtime when i was watching it
ManinCamo: I was like, well this could be this, or that, or that...
ManinCamo: like, i think their world outside of the matrix, is a matrix

ManinCamo: actually, i said that before i saw neo drop those machines
ManinCamo: about a minute before hand, i turned to my buddy and mentioned it
ManinCamo: then neo stopped the machines, i was like... damn, look at me now
Friend: nice...seeing it the second time challenged my conception of who were "good guys" and who were "bad guys"
ManinCamo: how so?
ManinCamo: like the prophet is bad?
Friend: i think it's a possibility that the agents and the merovengian (sp) were working for humanity
Friend: and yes...the oracle, the architect and definitely smith are bad
ManinCamo: how so? they kill the free'd humans

ManinCamo: you said the agents aren't bad
ManinCamo: why aren't they bad?
Friend: they may not be bad
Friend: i don't really know...
Friend: you understand the true purpose of "the one," right?

ManinCamo: its the remainded of a ****ed up equation
ManinCamo: it makes the equation complete, and reboots the system

Friend: the purpose of the one (as neo is the 6th) is to destroy and rebuild zion
Friend: because the system is imperfect
ManinCamo: yea, i don't understand WHY Zion needs to constantly be destroyed
Friend: only 99% of individuals accept the program
Friend: as more and more are freed, there's an exponential increase for disaster
ManinCamo: ahh
Friend: so zion is destroyed and then rebuilt, because of that 1%
ManinCamo: too many errors
ManinCamo: could crash the whole system
Friend: so the purpose of the one is to keep people enslaved
ManinCamo: why don't the machines just trash all the humans, why leave 7?
Friend: so think about the individuals in the movie who help the one, and think about those who try to stop him

Friend: the ones who are helping him are trying to enslave humanity
ManinCamo: hence, the agents may not be bad
Friend: the ones trying to stop him may be trying to help those enslaved
Friend: *just a possibility
Friend: i had another thought today

Friend: that perhaps it's all set up like a quest...those working for and against neo are all actually working for him...giving him the appearance of trying to accomplish the lofty goal of saving his people

I agree. That is the same conclusion I came to after watching it the second time.
I may watch it a third time so see if I can pick up any other information/hints that are in the movie.

Did any of you guys see the Matrix: Revolutions trailer after the credit of the Reloaded. It looks badass, I can't wait.
I knew there would be a revolutions trailer, i thought it was going to be at the beginning with the other preveiws. I was like WTF no revolutions preveiw and then after the movie finishes, my friends like hey sit back down i bet you that they will show some kind of preveiw at the end and there it was.

the plug is there. It's seen at least 2 times before they get in the elevator. Just because you can't see if for that one shot when he is walks out of the hovercraft it doesn't mean he doesn't have it.
Also it doesn't change the fact that he could still be in the Matrix within the matrix.
