That's an ignorant thing to say. I never chose it, I know many people that never chose it. It's more than a sexual drive. It's not that. It's different. I don't expect people on the board to understand (but I'm sure there are more than JUST me that are gay) but I do wish BOTH of it would stop. I'm not in the wrong. Get out there, talk to people. I'm not wrong for being this way. I will defend what I say.

Who would choose to be gay? I didn't. I don't like this life, I can't change it. I hear so much ignorant things being said. I figure, maybe a few, or just one, person here will understand and change their ways and not be so nasty. But, I'm hoping. Living a life full of hate and ignorance is no way to live.

 

i don't hate anybody, i don't hate my uncle, i don't hate my gay friends, i don't think it's right to make a blanket statement like that at all.

look a whole bunch of factors drop into your sexual preference, psychological aspects, social climates, and some will argue genes. i don't care. be gay, have fun, go shove your shit up some guys ass...quit being so ashamed about the life you have chosen and have fun...

 

Blanket statements covered by blanket statements? All right. I never chose it. I know many people do not believe that, but I was asked this before, how do I know 100% that I am and my response was "before you had sex with a girl, how did you know 100% you were straight, it's just something that's there." And, that made them understand. Now, granting, this person (he's on the board, I won't say his name because you'll harass him out) is already very nice and accepting to begin with. I'm done with this, you people think what you want. I made an attempt, you choose what you want to think, informed or misinformed. But believe me not, someday, this is going to become a topic on the board and an association can get the board (whoever owns it) in legal trouble. I do not say this as an enemy, I would never do that, because I do like this board in general. (I do believe that everybody is good somewhere in their heads'). However, somebody IS going to come along and do that. I didn't question this to get myself attention. What I did parallel topics that are, although disputable, can be very similar.

I see al ot of people that are really good friends with people of different races. My girlfriend is white, two of my 5 best friends are white. The area I grew up around you would see A LOT of different races hanging out with each other. Now that I live in tlanta I still see it alot here as well. By having a show that ONLY has a main cast as well as an extended cast tells you something about the writiers and producers of that show.

As far as the gay guy that asked why is it acceptable to make fun of gays and not be racist, the answer is simple. It's not acceptable to do so yet. Key word is yet. In the past people were very open about their racism, in public and private, it was something people thought about. Now race isn't something that most people look at in the world around them. It's not unusual to see a person of different race around you. However, it is still unusual to see a gay couple, or have an open conversation about homosexuality. It still makes a lot of people uncomfortable.

I myself have no gay friends, and I can't really say how I would react if I did have a gay friend. Most people would take the PC answer and say they wouldn't care, but you really can't say until you are in that situation.

right now, that makes a lot of sense, after reading that i HATE WHITE PEOPLE.

i know i often come off as a bigot here, but i just find the lines people draw for themselves make it more difficult for us as a community to work together. i would say its fair to say the VAST majority of gay people are that way because thats what works for them, and for whatever reason, be it a shortcircuitry in their brain, or just some strange natural population control, thats the way it is.

now just like black people, MOST are what they are, than every once in a while you get a white guy who pretendds. eventually he out grows it and lives his life honestly.

gay people are themselves the culture, i would imagine its very easy to see who is mimmicking the culture, just like it is with so called "wiggers" -- maybe not as much to those on the outside, as those on the inside.

the word is ACCEPTANCE, not friendship, you dont have to be their buddies, you dont have to take it up the ass, but it wont kill you to treat them as humans.

now, next youre going to tell us that religious choice is not comparable to racism because its a choice you make. people dont really make the religious choices they do, they follow them because of their faith...if you cant accept that, you cant accept the way basic human nature works. I didnt choose to be lutheran, or white, or straight, but i am, and all those things bring with it their own stereotypes.

 

 

yo redgoober.. i hear ya.. as far as the board's smilies and using the word "gay" sure it shouldnt be done.. maybe they could change it if u did politely email the webmaster.. personally i prefer using "ghey"... i find that less oriented to calling someone a homosexual and more towards just a ghey retard.. as far as it starting with "gay" sorry thats just what happened...

how about changing "ghey" to "sissy" or "silly" -- being gay doesnt necessairly mean you wave a rainbow flag

in your response to the religious point you brought up i was raised catholic but guess what, i'm not sure of what i believe in so i don't attend church or practice that faith.

as for your "plee" of acceptance i don't think they'll find anyone more accepting then me. i don't see how i fail to recognize and treat them as i would any other human. :dunno:
