omg, thats a weak comment. anyway, if were talking about sitcoms, I think bernie mac is not only the funniest black man on network television, but its also one of the best written, funniest shows on primetime. not only that its decent quality family programming on FOX of all places!

My point is that on shows like Friends and Will & Grace, eventhough they are funny, they don't have any diverse regular bill of actors. It's obvious, you can't name one person on those shows that's regularly on that is not white.
will & Grace is pretty bleeding edge being that two of its lead rolls are gay men, and the other two hint at bisexuality. also one of its secondary recurring characters is hispanic.

i know were not talking sitcoms, but Law and Order has several EXCELLENT recurring minority characters, the DA on Criminal Intent, Ice T on SVU. also the lawyer on the Practice is a terrific representation of an educated black man, he even is raising his son as a single father.

i dont think TV is THAT against you considering African Americans are really only like 12% of the population. No offense, but whens the last time you watched WET, (white entertainment television)

Hey now, I'm white and I watch BET television sometimes! Or the Trinity Channel with the lady with big hair (her hair extenstions don't match her already fake color) and they're all in big gold chairs or the nun! She gets pretty involved. And, I'm not even Christian. Yippie!

its really funny because its not "HEY IM BLACK, HERES ALL THE BLACK STUFF THAT HAPPENS TO ME MOSTLY FROM WHITEY, BLACKETY BLACK BLACK BLACK" like most shows cast with african-american actors. even chappelle show gets a little overboard with its blackocity sometimes

You must not watch very many 'black' sitcoms if you come to that conclusion. Shows like Cosby Show, Different World, Fresh Prince, Family Matters, and then the newer shows on now like One On One, The Parkers, etc. There are a very few select shows that make reference to that, namely The Hughleys.

I persoanlly think that "the bernie mac show" is downright hilarious. Scrubs is pretty good too. And although its not a sitcom, I do love "Fastlane".
