If she does, she doesn't care. She's that good of a person.

Yeah, they speak spanish, she also speaks French, Italian, German, Russian, and Japanese. She has 3 degrees, one in political science, one in business, and of course one in teaching. Very smart person. She's learning Arabic now, too.

one thing thats so dissapointing to me in american education is the lack of language teaching...i think its proly the primary cause of ethnocentrism.

"If you come to the United States, learn to speak our language!" I don't like that. I want to learn different languages, but it's different i guess. So many other countries, especially europe, the children at 16 (my age) can speak 3 or 4 different languages well. I think educators think people aren't going to leave the country or something. It's sad, there's a whole world out there. Take it all in.

i have two years of french. two years of a language isnt anything but enough to make a complete jackass out of yourself when you go to another country.

and my buddy in oklahoma can take fortran or basic or some other programming language, and they consider it "foreign language" :jerkit:

are you in Ilz?

You know, I've been told great things about Spain, nice people, so much to do. Definitely going to go there when I get the chance, if I ever do. People just don't give other people chances, i don't think.

i agree, the real enforcer for me was being of an age where the only work i could get was KFC and not to be racist, more true than anything, all of the cooks(and half the employees) were mexican so i learned alot on the job. my pride resides(ooh rhymed) in a word i learned once, i asked them what was the longest word in the spanish language and he said, parangaticutitimicuaro, i learned it and now mexican's say that i say it better then them and are shocked and awed I know of it(it's a dormit volcano in mexico)

and yes, i am from ILz you cheesehead! g'night....
