Odysseus,

If it makes you feel better to find another reason why you should hate conservatives, then good for you.

The fact is, it is not the liberals that advocate the protection of religion and its values. The liberals make fun of the religious and call them names; Then go on to say the Republicans are elitist.

But hey, whatever works for you to help solidify your agenda within yourself.

lol.

I think that "conservatism opposes christian values" can be true in certain aspects, but it generally isn't.

Going to war is not a sin. However, I think that it would be better if christians would say "thou shall not murder" instead of "kill" just to prevent confusion. Murder and kill mean two different things, and they definetly are not interchangable, especially in this day and age.

Capital punishment does seem to go against belief, as does truth in sentencing. It would make more sense if christians would forgive offenders if they repent, but conservatives tend to advocate truth in sentencing.

Jesus would never call for the use of brute force to combat oppression, but christian leaders have led crusades, throughout history.

Yeah, it's my ex -- I did it as a joke to watch the leg humperages.

Everyone keeps ruining it though, so I guess I'll change it back to my original avatar.

Well. The topic is re-opened now, so here's a pretty funny story about Supply Side Jesus:
