your lucky you weren't hurt and you didn't hurt anyone. Could have been a lot worse if there was an accident

Its supposed to cost about $10,000 for all the cost of dealing with a DUI/DWI.

I've heard if you are drinking and driving it is actually better to deny the breath test and let them arrest you. Because by the time they get your to the station and stuff you are sober and it's very hard for them to convict you with no real evidence. You can get off in court that way. I know people who have done that, and those who haven't. Those who deny the test do better.

refusing the test on the spot in wisconsin is an automatic 12 mos suspension.

It depends on the state because in some states refusal to take the test is a automatic 6 month suspension, like here in Georgia.

I failed the test one time but the cop was nice about it and let me go since I was in my apartment complex already.

Yeah but 12mos suspension vs. what? 3 year suspension and tons of lawyer fees? I don't think it's 12mos suspension here, but either way seems like a better deal. I mean YOUR dumbass did drink and drive, you get what you get, your going to get ****ed either way, it might as well be quicker.
