I just got a ticket last night, and the stupid pig that gave it to me was being a b i t c h. I took a left turn, not knowing that across the road there was a do not enter sign. But the sign's face was in the direction of people coming from my right going straight, and was not pointed towards my direction, so i didn't see it. I took the turn and while I was traveling on the road, I realized by the way the cars were parked that this could be a one way road. So i was attempting to trun around when the pig in an undercover crown vic blared his lights at me. He got out and without letting me say one word he said,"You saw that do not enter sign, and you decided anyways to take the turn. And you saw me behind you, and still kept turning." I was like no, i didnt.. before I could finish my sentence the pig said, "Sure you did, give me your license and registration." So I did and that b a s t a r d, decided to take his time about 20 minutes to write up my ticket. Then he gets out of the car look at my plates, radio's it in, then he gets in his car and takes more time. When time comes for me to sign, I try to explain it to him, and he responds take it to court, if you feel that you were treated unfairly. He said he cut me a break and let the ticket only be $70, and 1 point on my license, and he would make it say on the ticket -Failure to obey traffic device-, as opposed to another violation, I forgot what he said.
So today I was looking at my ticket and I noticed that he didn't sign it, even though I did. Can I get out of this ticket, cause his signature isn't on it? And he put on the ticket i got a Honda Civic, when i have a Acura Integra. If not, what are my chances of takin this pig to court? Thanks for any help.

 

Those differences should make the ticket invalid. I am not positive but pretty sure.

 

let me add that cop was a dick taking all that time and not listening to you at all. I would take pictures of the sign from where you were and all so that could be used as evidence as well if your bot let off for the improper ticket.

 

COPS REALLY SUCK. I got a speeding ticket one time and I was caught red-handed going 42 in a 25. He was hiding up on a street where my ever-cop-scanning-eye could not see. I was nice to the officer, and we talked about my muffler for a little bit and he gave me the same thing you did. It was a $90 ticket, but he said he made it a "failure to obey traffic signals" ticket instead of a speeding one. One thing though, I did not get any points on my liscnense becuase you're not supposed to for getting a ticket like that. Tickets suck

 

Take pictures of the sign and explain the situation to the judge (of course don't use the word pig or bring on accusations). You should be let off pretty easy if you act responsible and cool-headed in front of the judge.

thats hilarious.... yea... if he cant correctly identify your car, how could he tell if you disobeyed a sign? it could have been another car (a civic maybe?) that made the illegal turn

 

kind of a same story happened to me we were crusing the vard when i (going about 20 in 2nd gear) "floored" as did the car next to me. We both got up to 35 or 40ish, which was the speed limit. Then this asshole cop pulls me over, makes me wait in my car for probably close to 45 minutes before finally getting out of his car. I asked him what I did and he said i was: "crusing the vard." apparently cruising the vard is illegal (which its not). Anyways he bull****ted me a while longer and i got my ticket the time, place, and something else (cant remember, probably car) were wrong but you can't get out of it because its got your name and **** on it.

 

As one of those "bastards" or "fu cking Pigs," I'll tell you that if he made out the ticket improperly (ie not signing it, wrong car listed), its an invalid ticket and you'll get out of it

 

seeing that he mis-identified the car, that should be reason enough to get it dismissed. if you go to court, ask the judge to dismiss the ticket because of the wrong car being put down. don't know where you are from, but in FL, you have a pre trail where you can plead no contest, take it to a real trail, or can ask for it to be dismissed based on the fact that the information "withing the four corners of the ticket" is incorrect. that can be the wrong statute or etc. if you are going to take this to court, postpone the ticket atleast once. then take it to court. the reason for this is that in the event you go to trail the court date would be pushed a couple months away. if you cross examine the cop, if he does show up, and he can not remember specific details, like the conditions, weather, cars on the road, also the fact he could not remeber what kind of car you had, it discredits his testimony, so he can not defend himself for writing the ticket. you need as much time as you can get before you go to trail so he can forget this stuff. you can then ask for the ticket to be dismissed based on the fact that the cop can not remeber details of the night. i have personally done this and it does work. hope this helps you and anyone else who gets some BS ticket like i once did.
