Just got a ticket

If he didn't sign it, you can get out of it. If he wrote down the wrong type of car, that doesn't matter, because they can change it at court. They still have your DL number, and your Reg. Plus your signature. They can fix the model and make at your court appearance. Did he write his name at all? Write a badge number on it? An indescript scribbly line?

on the ticket he wrote the district, no. angecy/sub agency and i.d. no., its hard to read, but still no signautre. Also the cop asked me "What type of Honda is this? A civic?" i told him that its a acura integra. but he still wrote honda civic. what he wrote down exactly is Honda CVR, 2001. I assuming CVR he ment civic, cause he asked me that. I hope its not some code lettering.

werd...its hard to get off of that if you are going to use the mistakes that are on the ticket...i think the term is "good faith."
but i dunno about the signature though. i would just take pics of the area including the sign, and just explain to the judge. if you do good you probably can get that point off...

there are assholes working in every field....no matter what field you are looking at. You shouldn't pass judgement based upon the actions of a few. I know you were angry and thats understandable. The thing is, tomorrow you or one of your family members may have an emergency and a cop will be the first one there to help/rescue you...and always remember that. They are there to protect and serve...and that is the first and foremost duty of a police officer. Don't let the actions of one individual give you a jaded view of the whole profession.

The other friend called before his court date, and complained there was not only no signature but the date was wrong also - it was after New Years, and the cop had written the previous year on it. The woman couldn't even find the ticket int he database, it looked like the cop didn't even turn it in. She dismissed it right there on the phone.
Hope that helps!
