Original Post:

Like many others I watched the "town hall" meeting in Portsmouth NH with the supposedly randomly selected audience.

Full video:

The second person "randomly" selected to ask a question was a young girl called Julia Hall from Malden MA (asks question at 29 mins 25 secs into the video).

Julia read the following question off a piece of paper: "As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us".

This randomly asked question gave Obama the perfect opportunity todismiss talk about "death panels that will pull the plug on Grandma"and to blame Republicans for everything. Over on the town hall commentsthread at AR15.com a user by the name of AtomicPunk09 discovered someone on facebook who might possiblybe Julia's mother and had a photo of her with Obama:

http://www.facebook.com/people/Kathl...all/1545820503

(Edit 8/12, 9.30am EST: Facebook page has now disappeared)

All old information and it cannot be proven that Kathleen is Julia's mother, right????

Hold on, look who is sitting next to Julia in the video:

Another "coincidence" is that Julia said she lives in Malden MA and Kathleen Manning Hall's campaign contributions list the occupation "Legal Asst, Looney and Grossman LLP" and a home address in Malden MA:

http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/n...fname=Kathleen

Looks like she donated $636 to Obama in 2008.

But wait, there's more:

http://www.city-data.com/elec2/elec-MALDEN-MA.html

This lists donations to Obama of $230 on 6/15/07, $250 on 9/28/07, $500 on 9/30/07, $300 on 3/2/08

http://fundrace.huffingtonpost.com/n...N+ST&zip=02148

On that link we have the $636 previously mentioned from "Kathleen Manning Hall" but we also have $1355 donated to Obama by "Kathleen Hall, Legal Assistant, Looney & Grossman" at the same address.

(as an aside Looney and Grossman loves Democrats - their employees donated $12,101 in total to Democrats and $0 to Republicans)

Back to Kathleen's Facebook Page, here are some of her Facebook friendsthat had unique names so I googled to see if they were Democraticinsiders:

Martha Coakley, (Democrat) Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts http://www.marthacoakley.com/
Adam Parkhomenko, former aide to Hillary Clinton, Democrat running for VA House of Delegates (who has the support of the Brady Campaign, President Clinton and Wes Clark) http://voteadam.com/
Addisu Demissie, National Political Director of Organizing for America and former Ohio Get out The Vote director of Obama for America http://www.theroot.com/views/roots-t...ddisu-demissie
Adrienne Elrod, Chief of Staff to Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) http://www.politico.com/blogs/annesc...ast_night.html
Alan Rosenblatt, Associate Director for Online Advocacy at the Center for American Progress (and HuffPost blogger) http://www.americanprogress.org/abou...blattAlan.html
Alayna Van Tassel, Budget and Policy Director for MA Senator Pat Jehlen http://www.linkedin.com/pub/alayna-van-tassel/5/8ba/b80

I could go on and on and check out every one of her Facebook frends but I think the point is clear - the cute questionabout "mean signs" was read from a pre-written note by the daughter ofa Democrat political insider who is know to and has been photographed with President Obama.

Combine that with the first question being from a Democrat StateRepresentative, then a couple of easy Medicare "give me more handouts"questions, then a few more pro-Obamacare questions, and by then endeven Obama is begging for a question from someone opposed to his plan.

Kathleen Manning Hall admits to being the mother but claims her daughter came up with the idea of asking a question:

http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/...den_asked.html

A girl from Malden asked President Obama a question at Tuesday's town hall meeting in New Hampshire about the signs outside "saying mean things" about his health care proposal.

Eleven-year-old Julia Hall asked: "How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can –– that help more of us?''

The question opened the door for the president to respond to what he called an "underlying fear'' among the public "that people somehow won't get the care they need.''

The girl later told the Globe that picking the president's brain was "incredible."

"It was like a once in a lifetime experience," she said.

Julia's mother was an early Obama supporter in Massachusetts during the presidential election, so she had previously met First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama daughters Sasha and Malia, and Vice President Joe Biden.

"This was my first time meeting Barack Obama, and he's a very nice man," Julia said. "I'm glad I voted for him."

She said Obama won a mock presidential election at the Cheverus School in 2008. And on Tuesday, he approached her after the town meeting.

"He said 'great question,'" Julia said. "I shook his hand and got his picture."

Kathleen Manning Hall, Julia's mother, was shocked when her daughter said she wanted to ask a question. They wrote it down beforehand, and Julia didn't miss a beat when Obama called on her.

"It was surreal," said Manning Hall, a coordinator of Massachusetts Women for Obama during the election.

She said Julia was moved by a woman's testimonial on Tuesday before the president spoke. The woman described her ordeal battling liver disease without health insurance.

"Julia talked about it the whole way home," said Manning Hall, adding that they often discuss politics. "We talk a lot about human rights and having compassion for people."

Julia also enjoys soccer and playing guitar, especially songs by Taylor Swift, her favorite artist.

"She entertained my whole family on Christmas Day," Manning Hall said. "She's a wonderful child. She's a very sensitive, smart girl and I'm hoping she becomes more interested in politics and helping people."

She may get her wish. Julia said she'd like to run for office someday, maybe even for president.

"It would be awesome if I could work in politics," she said.

Responding to Julia –– an honors student entering grade 6 at the Cheverus School –– Obama said:

"Well . . . I've seen some of those signs,'' prompting laughter. "Let me just be specific about some things that I've been hearing lately that we just need to dispose of here. The rumor that's been circulating a lot lately is this idea that somehow the House of Representatives voted for "death panels" that will basically pull the plug on grandma because we've decided that we don't –– it's too expensive to let her live anymore. And there are various –– there are some variations on this theme.''

Another photo of Kathleen Manning Hall:

Next to Kathleen Manning Hall is Martha Coakley, Democrat Attorney General of MA. The photo is from the website of New England Women for Change:

NEW ENGLAND WOMEN FOR CHANGE was formed in February 2007 and was originally known as Massachusetts Women for Obama (MA WFO), a group dedicated to electing President Barack Obama to office.

During the 2008 primary season, MA WFO worked for then candidate Obama in seven states (as well as Puerto Rico), where we did canvassing and phone banking, and also attended rallies and fundraisers and visited churches to read Senator Obama’s message of hope to congregations.

While the general election campaign played out, MA WFO hosted highly successful fundraising events in and around Boston and on Martha’s Vineyard, raising significant funds for the campaign. From late summer 2008 through Election Day, we canvassed tirelessly in New Hampshire every weekend and phone banked regularly from Boston. And in the last two weeks before Election Day, many of us worked hard in NH and in distant battleground states.

POST ELECTION…

TODAY…because we want to support and advance our new President’s agenda, we continue our mission. We will help implement President Obama’s agenda by supporting progressive Democratic candidates and by working to raise money for Organizing for America, the political arm of the White House. New England Women for Change (NE WFC) holds regular group meetings, the dates for which will be posted on this website:

Girl who was randomly selected to ask a question's mom has long standing ties to the Obama administration, is a contributor, the company she works for is a contributor, etc and in the video the mom is seen looking at the paper and not the girl or mr obama, making it plainly obvious that the selection and the question were planned.

it basically highlights a bunch of odd coincidences to the whole concept of "randomly selected" people who got to ask obama questions.

basically its this girl who is the daughter of a well connected obama supporter and the question before that was by a democrat who is a member of the state house.

anyone who thinks these televised events are truly given over to randomly selected questions is crazy anyways. so the whole digging for all this is kinda moot imo. its way to risky to truly allow randomly selected questions. its more like randomly selected from a pre-approved pool

When Bush was President the audience was filtered heavily. Not a Bush VS Obama comparison, but standard stuff in politics these days.

Obviously Obama isn't the only one who does or has done it but that doesn't make it right.

It's just funny, that's all.

BTW, does "filtered heavily" equate to preselection?

 me a fucking river. It's politics. He is not the first NOR the last to do such things. Are you going to post if Obama says he dropped a deuce that didn't stink up the White House, but all the interns left the area due to deuce odor?

Seriously all this shit is annoying. You know you wanted a heated discussion and now you are backing into a corner ("It's just funny, that's all. ") because even Jesse is saying this is moot h:
