but your body expels it easily  if you anything about fats they get stored in your body for energy. many fats are very beneficial and necessary. trans fats are like mutated fats from hell that stay forever

The human body does not know how to brake down a hydrogenated oil. It ends up rejecting it and bypassing it into the blood stream. And it gets stuck all over your body and that how it can cause massive weight gain and higher blood presure, etc ...

I spent weeks in school reading about it

To make a long class real short, Mic D's used to fry their french frys in beef tallow. People starting throwing a bitch fit, so they went to ADM (same people who make biofuel) and asked them to make a cheap oil, that wont brake down as fast as pure vegi oil. So they hydrogenated it, and made oil shorting.
blah blah blah, in the end, we now have hydrogenated oils to fry the french frys in. However really is better for you to eat frys made in the beef tallow, then hydrogenated oil.

So the same people who pushed for hydrogenated oils are now trying to ban hydrogenated oils.
Thanks Center for Science in the Public Interest!

you dicks.

.
so, should we stop eating anything with LDL cholesterol too? because that builds up in your bloodstream too..

IMO it's irrational to stop eating miniscule amounts of something just because it's slightly worse than its alternatives..

Werd. High amounts of trans-fats obviously aren't good for you. As was said, the body doesn't handle them real well. But consuming a doughnut or french fries here and there isn't likely to hurt you as long as you're generally healthy in your diet and activity.
