shouldnt have any issues as long as your phone is unlocked and allows international sim cards to be used
Werd. It works well. Thats what I did when I went to China. It is probably the easiest and cheapest solution. Depending on how much you talk, you will have to keep buying more minutes but I don't think it will cost nearly as much as $55. :hs:

Sprint is CDMA right? if so you might be out of luck. i would recomend you purchase(or use a friends old) a cheap GSM unlocked phone from here. Once you get in Spain just get a SIM card from a local telco... they usually sell prepaid packages for fairly cheap. I usually pay around 30$ for the card and it will give me like 20$ of prepaid minutes. i do it everywhere i travel. the only place i had a hard time was in Dubai... I have tones of old sim card here

In Europe incoming calls are all free so someone who calls you wont cost you anything. if you need to call someone get a phone card and use public phone it will be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY cheaper.

I dont know about spain but alot of countries i visited you can pick up those SIM in those magazine stores in the airport. If you do decide to take you US phone with you dont use it much cause internationnal roaming fees are just plain stupid expensive.

When are you leaving? Did you find a old unlock GSM phone?
