Default Cell phone doods, does this cable exist?

I need a short patch cable, with a twist. It needs to have an inline volume dial and mute switch. One end male, the other female. 2.5mm of course.

Well, I sorta just soldered something together. LOLz I remembered that you can use any cell phone headset with an XBOX 360 controller. I figured the same would work the other way around. I took the headset I got from the Messenger kit, and hacked off the inline controls. Took it apart and was surprised when the solder points were clearly labeled on the PCB. I like to keep cable ends, wall warts, and other crap like that around. I found a female 2.5mm jack, but it didn't have 3 conductors. Ran to Radio Shack and found what I needed. I just shortened the male end that was already there to my specs. Works like a charm.

See I finally found a headset that won't hurt my ear, but it doesn't have the controls.
