ok i've got a question, its really dumb but my gf thinks shes right
I just hooked up a new monitor and I want to get rid of my old one. My gf told me that we should destroy the monitor because a hacker can take it and get all of my information that was from the computer from the monitor. I think she's wrong, last time I checked info was stored in the tower.

There is no information stored in the monitor. And smashing a monitor (if a CRT) can be VERY dangerous as there are capacitors in the rear of the monitor that can blow up and throw shrapnel around.
