i dig that my problem is sometimes i'm in the middle of a game when she comes home and i cna't just drop the game to start tlaking to her... but the game can go on for like 10 min before i can aknowledge her neing there

I also think it has alot to do with what you present from the beginning. Like mine knows that i'm a gamer, in my spare time you can find me with a controller in my hand, if it aint a controller it's a boob. I just have to remember sometimes that i'm in a relationship still. That's why she blew up last time. I was neglecting her cus we hardly ever went anywhere anymore because i started playing video games non stop.

I also think it has alot to do with what you present from the beginning. Jen's in grad school. M-F (night) we don't see each other. Friday night, all Saturday, and part of Sunday ... we hang out. I really don't want to play then either because I recognize this and completely understand my time priorities.
It would be an issue if I see her all the time and she still doesn't allow me to have time for myself. Of course, this is not the problem.
It's not much of a "secret" or "trick" ... it's all in the girl.
Jen really doesn't fight my hobbies. She wants to know more about them because she sees that "if he likes it, it's gotta be cool"
- Last season, I told her NFL Sunday's are going to be a down time for us. :chuckles: She ended up being a Bears fan ... often wearing a #87 jersey around her office.
- I tried Fantasy Baseball with the office. This was my first time and I ended up really enjoying it. She'd find me constantly checking stats or checking on ESPN game updates.
Instead of fighting it, she wanted to try too. Jen joined the HAN league and drafted a mean team.
h:(I still whooped her monkey ass in the first round of the playoffs though)
h:With Halo 3, i prepped her. I told her this was coming. She could see that I was excited. She knows I work hard. She knows my priorities in life. She's seen my track record in the relationship. She won't deny me something as petty as a videogame.
OH ... and I also said this ...
"would you rather have me playing a video game with guys from the internet or at the bar looking for entertainment? If I start banging hoes on accident, I'm really not the one to be blamed."
