Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)

There's something about this franchise that has a grip on me. I think it's because I've really been playing these things for about 6 years now.
I honestly haven't touched H2 since 2005 though.

me and Jae in the lobby
*invite to flippy goes out*
*Flippy joins*
me: yo man, what's up? Oh shi- ... no mic?
Jae: no mic.
me: Jae, you know what the worst team in the NFL is? The Kansas City Chiefs.
Jae: those guys do suck ... they need to retract that team next year.
me: the only professional franchise in that city are the Royals ... and that ain't saying much.
*Flippy's mic icon appears*
:lmao:

I think it is just personal preference for me. I like Halo 3, but only when I have people to play with (since we are on a time difference, it really sucks)
I also like playing somewhat realistic games with real guns and physics and such. (R6 and COD4) Halo is fun, I just find it to be a very well done Unreal Tournament. h:

that's just awful you needed to hop on the ghetto rig to communicate.
I appologize for being insensitive to your handicap. :run:

Don't get me wrong, H3 is a science on it's own. Strategy in that game is a must if you want to survive.
I mentioned this earlier, but I just can't achieve those "Superman" moments in that game. I don't have the sensation that I did something truly kickass.
In H3, I can grab a missile pod, hop into a light elevator, and "overkill" an entire group of 4. When playing H3, I have the potential to pull off action hero sequences at any moment.
When finished, I can integrate the game's experience back to the forum via images and movies.
There's all sorts of satisfaction here.
Not a knock against COD4 at all ... I bet you can do all of that stuff there too.

I think that's the difference maker, the realism. Although presented in a damn fine fashion, COD seems a bit too technical for me.
