Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
like i said improvements are to be done... i agree with the melee part. most of the guns need to be tweaked... the power is just not right.
As for the hammer I disagree, i've used the needle to kill the hammer carrier over and over again.
It is a different game, it's a different style and obviously playing the same style you guys are used to will not work. The guns arent even the same so you'll have to adjust.
I just think you guys are bitching because you're not used to this game style yet. It is different thats for sure. thankfully H3 is still there for you guys

As Drew said, I honestly think they are trying to target a different audience. I guess it will be good for Bungie. But the religious halo players are taking the hurt for it.
The point being made is that Reach is built to be a simple game for anyone to be able to pick up and feel good about. A person with no skill can just camp with a weapon like the hammer and win against a player who has been playing for years. Skill is completely out the window.

It still takes skills... just different skills.
meh i disagree... it takes a different skill set. But it still takes skills to get 10 kills with a hammer when you have the full team on your ass. When i switched from H2 to H3 i had a hard time getting used to it too. H3 had a total different strategy. And when they started pushing the BR games i was fucked...
It still takes skills... just different skills.

I am not saying this is what you are doing, I'm saying this is what the game is turning in to. If you want to have a decent K/D ratio, camping is your best bet.
i have a feeling bungie likes where the game is going. there's a hammer spree medal now. the hammer was never powerful enough for that before, and it doesn't seem like they'll reduce it enough to get rid a medal.
And to be honest i dont mind the campers all that much. they might get a kill but eventually you'll be able to figure out where they're camping. just like the golden room on Gardian. or the corners on the Pit, the underground room on snowbound.
I'm just saying i think you guys have just forgotten all that. Also those are the 2 maps we have but i can't inmagin someone camping on Boneyard.
Really? i thought i got a spree in firefight

Boneyard is the biggest map I've ever seen. There's maybe 10 buildings in it with corners and one way entrances everywhere. I'm pretty sure when it's not being used in matchmaking, it's a summer camp for little Spartans.
This will make H3's Snowbound feel like Octagon.
Firefight != matchmaking

i'm not saying i won't ever play reach. it just needs work before they ship it. i actually like the swat, and will probably like other gametypes. i didn't play the H3 beta when it was out, so i don't really feel the need to play this one either.
