Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
Don't bother sending hopping into matches with friends until you see the "ENTER MATCHMAKING" option highlight. If you can enter into hoppers, you're all good. Otherwise, you need to wait for specific data (playlist, etc) to come off of the Reach servers and onto your HDD. This is the biggest lag of the entire process. It takes 10 to 15 more minutes to retrieve this stuff.
Got to 64% and transformer across street blewhopefully what I had DL'd so far will stay when power comes back on. Sitting in the dark drinkin a beer, with no power, listening to birds, and laptop dying sucks...:madr:
I definitely suck at the beta.
I have a question, currently I use Pioneer DIR-800C headphones with 5.1 (DD) hooked up from my XBox using TOSLINK. The sound is AMAZING, but when I use xbl I have to hook up the cheapo headset to the controller and wrap the mic around my neck leaving me with a makeshift gaming headset. Although the sound is crystal clear (and painfully loud), its SO loud that it washes out the chat coming into the headphones. My software chat volume is maxed out and ODST/Reach doesn't allow me to modify the in-game sound. What can I do to increase the chat volume and/or decrease the music/sound effects?

I played like 5-6 games in a row last night non-stop then I had to head to bed. It was fun .
I didn't like the guard special (wtf can I do with that!?), jetpack was sweet but made me a really easy target if I used it. Sprinting is probably the best, but my aiming is still awful.
What sensitivity do you guys play with?

As far as using the Guard armor ability ...
- found it most useful in capture the flag situations if you're playing defense. When attempting to retrieve a flag in a hotly contested area, take as much damage as you can, Guard, and hope the armor lock can bring it home.
- I was firing a rocket at someone, the guy was quick enough to Guard, and took the shot like it was nothing.
- Guard can also be handy against vehicles ... yet to be seen.
Robert's suggestion of sprint + Hammer is devastating. There's nothing that could stop that besides a rocket.
I played the beta for over 5 hours yesterday. I hope they release the other 2 maps today.
