Xbox One Crew w. big enises ... Halo MCC HYPE THREAD! (est. 2007)
Gotcha. The RROD fix will last a poop ton longer if you pop one of these on too.
Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Intercooler TS: Video Games
It's a great design over the originals.
- Externally powered
- Thermal sensing, so the fans stay on even if the system is off, but still hot.
When I popped open the Elite (former H3 machine with an Intercooler EX), there were dust streaks inside the case. I could see how the cooler was pulling air through the system.
The DVD rom in the 360's are crap too. If they're not generating heat, the lasers are dying. If the lasers aren't dying, the motors fry out.

I guess this is why Microsoft doesn't make PC's.

:lmao:
Which one did you get?
Buncha dickheads I tell ya. The Elite was boasting new "cooling" features at the time. Alright, 120GB HDD, black, HDMI, upgraded cooling ... sold!
Upon investigation, it's an identical cooling setup as the launch day consoles. I was expecting to see an upgraded GPU / CPU heatsinks, nothing. The fan in the back of the console is severely under matched too.
On top of it all, the wonderful "Fujitsu" 120GB HDD is a pos. Almost at the same time as the RRoD, the HDD went with it.
$400 in 2007 = this in early 2009:
- RRoD
- Dead HDD
- Broken headset
+ Working: controller, power supply

Maybe I should convince the wife to let us put this in the bedroom in place of our 19" tube, lol.
How would this work as a TV h:

looks like the Asus 238 is turning into the official LED LCD of HAN.
You can use the HDMI input if you have a cable box. You'll then need a set of PC speakers to extract the sound from the monitor's HDMI pass-through.

I'd have to do coaxial -> analog rgb :reechy:
