The investigators found no other drugs, including steroids, in Benoit's body.

There's a small semantic error in each of the CNN and AP articles.
First to establish a set of definitions:
1. Steroids in and of themselves are an overall class of chemicals. Testosterone is a steroid.
2. "Steroids" in common usage tends to refer to what are actually anabolic steroids, i.e. performance enhancing drugs.
The AP intro says he had steroids and other drugs in his system, then went on to say that it was testosterone, xanax and hydrocodone.
The CNN intro says he had testosterone and other drugs in his system, explains that he had elevated testosterone levels, xanax and hydrocodone; but "no other drugs including steroids."
So the AP intro is technically correct, although the CNN intro is more accurate. Then the "no other steroids" in the CNN article confounds things again.
I'd say it's more likely the result of subpar writing by underpaid newswire reporters, but hey I guess if you want to tell yourself it's all an evil liberal media conspiracy then be my guest.
