explain to me the difference between a personal check and cashiers check

it seems like it would be extremely difficult to modify a cashier's check. the ones i get are printed on the paper. youd have to run it through a printer, line everything up.

i wouldnt worry about it, either way

right, a cahsiers check is guaranteed to have the funds to back it up, if it is legit. yeah they have special high tech stuff to prevent legit ones from being changed, but how does the average Joe know whats legit? you can make some pretty damn official looking stuff if you put some time into it.

all my cars I buy/sell with cashiers check or cash. Never trust personal check, even for deposit. I had 4 bounced on me before.

and don't forget banks will except a cashier check on appearence, if its a counterfeit, you won't know for a couple days.
