I do know that some cops have guns called VG2 (Virginia Gun 2 i believe). Anyways its basically a radar detector detector. It tells them if you have one turned on. Most newer radar detectors have VG2 protection which does not allow one of their guns to pick up your signal. Im pretty sure thats only in Virginia though. Anywhere else, theyre perfectly legal. Personally, I'm going for the Valentine One

but im cop paranoid, so im willing to pay for the best on the market

so is valentine one the only one that cops can't detect in VA?

Escort Passport 8500 X50 has VG2 Rejection System so you shouldn't have to worry about it, right?

No, Valentine One is just the best detector on the market and that is definitely reflected in its price. Most detectors that have VG2 rejection/protection will be fine, but there are no guarantees when it comes to the police. The Escort detectors were originally created by the man who started the Valentine One, so they are also one of the best on the market. I'm sure your Escort's VG2 protection will be sufficient, but I have never even been through Virginia so I couldn't tell you how well it works. Good luck!

yeah almost anything you can by says its is VG2 invisible, don't really know how bulletproff that is though. they are illegal in VA and DC, illegal in most states for commercial vehicles.
