Photoshop experts: Question...

how do you mask text with an image? say if i have an image, and i want it to be cut in the shape of text like the logo below:

you need to use the wand tool and mess with the tolerance. once you have the text outlined you can remove everyhting inside the dotted lines. then you can create a new latyer with the image and just view both layers at the same time.
