Default quick question (about exhaust mani studs)

how do you take them out? i searcged and my manual doesnt say.

it is for a 4th gen accord, the old nuts are stuck to the studs so im just going to replace the new stud with the stuck nut and stud, lol.

A trick i learned somewhere. All you do is basically take a nut, thread it on to the stud, but in the oppisite direction you would normally thread it. Then take another nut and thread in on there like you normally would. so now you have 2 nuts that are butting up together. Then you can loosen the inside one which will lock them together and you can take the stud out. Let me find a picture for you

found someone else's explanation.........

Double nut the studs.

Take one nut and thread it on. Take another nut and tighten it up with the first nut. Use a wrench to take the stud off now that the two nuts are locked together.

Kinda hard to explain. Just try it and you will see what I mean.

werd. just get a nut thats right hand thread(normal) and a nut thats left hand thread. left hand goes on first then the right hand thread.
