DISCLAIMER *This is not in the Meet/Greet forum because its simply discussing the possibility of said event and providing preliminary details for the gauging of potential interest in such an event*


**UPDATE** Due to concerns over control of alcohol consumption by minors, alcohol won't be permitted at the BBQ during the day. This will allow for a trouble-free meet and maintain respect for fellow community members using the facilities.

**Now don't get your panties in a bunch those of you that wanted to get plastered (Skelly & AF), thats why there is going to be an after-party after sunset on a more secluded local without worries of legal troubles.

**Hope everyone understands the reasoning behind this, it truly is to provide for a more safe and worry-free meet. I hope nobody is discouraged from coming now.

As some of you may know this has been mildly discussed over the past few months, and to those that are hearing about this for the first time, pay attention.

**This would NOT be a car show, rather a gathering of HANers to hang out, chill, and party and meet. BUT furthermore, this is an automotive-based forum so feel free to bring whatever rides you wish...there are beautiful photo-taking opportunities.

ATTENTION*** There WILL be a swimming pool full of J-E-L-L-O.

Preliminary information regarding HAN 05 BBQ.

LOCATION: Lake Wallenpaupack, Pennsylvania. 25 miles East of Scranton, 100 miles West of NYC, 2 1/2 hours North of Philadelphia.

Set on a private beach on the 13 mile long Wallenpaupack, with plenty of parking, recreational activities on-site, jet-ski and boat rentals on-site, swimming on-site, large BBQ pit/gazeebo on-site.

DATE: Saturday August 6th, 2005. Possibly into Sunday the 7th for those that wish to stay for a party.

TERMS:

- This will be on a private community beach, that does not however mean we will be the only people there.

- Bring WHOMEVER you'd like, limit of 5 guests per member.

- Because the potential for a large gathering is there, expenses would likely be high. Should there be enough interest and such an an event be held, it would be BYOB. In this manner, the cost is shared amongst everyone and not a select few.

- Similarly to the beverages, hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. Any help with additional sides/beverages/snacks/etc. would be much appreciated.

LODGING: There are plenty of cheap motels/hotels right around the lake. Also, for those interested in an even cheaper alternative, camp sites are plenty around the area. It would also be a nice way to spend an evening in the country.

Paying for lodging is your responsibility. IF enough people are interested in lodging I can certainly check into a few places and ask for discounted rates. Otherwise, I'd be glad to assist in booking local lodging on a case-by-case basis.

Lodging would be an issue. I would open my house to HANers but then theres only enough room and don't want to get into the business of picking favorites/discriminating. Lodging is your responsiblity, but I'd be happy to set it up for you.
