Is the TSX over rated or is my Integra faster?

EDITED: consider this your only warning. do not post any street racing stories or that type of posts. this applies for all of HAN not just the basement. If the race took place on a legitimate 1/4mi track make it obvious.

I also think you felt TSX slower because of different engine characteristics.
Unlike the Integra, which is a light, perfomance car, the TSX is more of a sporty cruiser with luxurious features. One thing I noticed when my friend let me drive his car is that the TSX accelarates much smoother even when you floor it (disregarding factors like weight, AT shift management etc), and this smoothness is what's making you think that the TSX is slow. And like George said, it doesn't mean you are not accelerating quickly, it just makes you think you are not accelerating as quickly as the car actually is.

my useless input: civic at 90 mph feels more like 90 mph than a TL at 90 mph.

:werd: x2. Maybe since civics aren't as heavy and bounce around a bit more. I know my EF vibrates and is loud as hell at 90 mph, 'specially with the exhaust. My pops just bought an '05 prius. Smoooooooothest ride I've ever had. It's totally silent when you're parking 'cause the engine ain't on! Anyways, the thing actually accelerates decently, but you can't feel a thing. Cool ride, but a total waste of 30 g's imho. Fragmented? yes.

I donno if it's the current model or not. It looks just
like the normal ver except for huge stickers on the sides that say "EV".
It's my buddy's friend's and he told me some guy offered 50g
for it but he refused the offer. Hell, I'd rather get 50g than drive around in that thing.

The TSX is an automatic w/the sequential bump 1-5 shifter that downshifts automatically and still moves forward while in "1". I know it is heavier and a 4 door, but I guess I just expected more. Don't me wrong, it is a nice car and I like it a lot. I'm hoping they take longer with my car. J/K I just figured it would kick down harder. So maybe it is the auto tranny? I wouldn't know, most loaners are auto so everyone can drive them, so oh well...I figured it was along the lines of the IS300 and 3 series beamers, but I get I was wrong, but I've only read about the car until now.
