Default Your take on pizza delivery guys

Which one represents u??

1. You think pizza delivery guys get paid a LOT and you don't tip them AT ALL.

2. You tip moderately cos u think tips make up half of the delivery guy's pay.

3. You tip a lot (>$3) cos u KNOW that pizza delivery guys are paid minimum wages and tips REALLY do help out.

If u're #1, i think u're a jackass... if u tip a waiter at a restaurant, y not tip the delivery guy? the guy has to ACTUALLY help make the pizza, and drive in horrible weather (depending on which season we're in) to bring u ur pizza... i give props to all u delivery guys!

not all delivery guys are that great. if i get my food quick and the guy isnt like a sloth when i talk to him, then he gets a decent tip ($1-$2). ya they gotta put up with weather sometimes, but otherwise, i would say its a cake job. driving around listening to tunes isnt exactly hard work.

I tip about 5 bucks usually...that's on a ~$25 order.
I always tip waiters and pizza delivery guys well.

In my part of the world, drivers expect $2-$3 for a normal retail delivery of one or two pizzas.

It's really expected, and you should do it, although modifications are allowed for poorer than normal service or better than normal service.

I usually do 15% or so, depends.

bigger orders will be $3-4, smaller orders, $1-2.

But there's a pizza place 100 yds from my place, so i usually pick up.

leaving pennies for a waiter is not a good thing, at least down south :rick:

BTW: terrible service so dont think im a jerk, i tend to tip generiously cause i used to work in catering, i know how bad it can get.

worst of all would those parents who do not want to tip and ask their kids to take the pizza and gimme the exact change!! ahhhhh!

Papa John's drivers are NOT allowed to ask for a tip... several ppl i know got into big trouble becos they asked for a tip (this is IF the customer calls back and complains, which they normally do).... some were even fired...
