wned:

its one thing to be a teenager and work ur ass off waiting on tables, delivering food. its part of life to be someone's bitch at one point

its another thing to be a mid20's waiter whining about tips ... damn waiter/waitresses make bank if they work at a decent restaurant. and most of the time, they dont split it w/the cook/chef/bus boy/etc.

i didnt read the whole thread .. so, whats goin on

and no, if i were to get a crap job, i wouldnt rely on tips but would work hard and wait for that promotion. if i dont get it, back to education or another job...

I don't complain about my tips, If you work in a good neighborhood then tips are very nice. Around here, I make a minimum of 10$/hour in just tips everynight. And I'm not stupid or inexpierenced, I just need a job that has flexable hours and pays well so I can put myself through school :happysad: This works for now.

I always tip very well about 20-30% on average. Its a shitty job and they have my food.

My friend work at a delivery place and I don't feel sorry for him at all. He gets paid NO hourly wage, he gets paid per delivery + tips. In the summer, or even on a friday or saturday night in the winter, we worked it out, and he's usually makin $20-$50 an hour. One time a guy with a stolen credit card tipped him $60

Just out of curiosity, would you patronise an establishment that charged 2.9% extra for using credit cards?

Would you patronise an establishment that passed Pay Pal fees back to the buyer?
