I know I should probably eat more then that but I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Also do you think walking at a moderate pace is good too? People keep telling me that walking is better then running but I don't see how that is.
cycling is effective, and so are other cardio exercises. it's a matter of preference. although running is harder on your body, i believe it's the tried and true path to fitness. do whatever you please, but do it 100% :goodjob:
you HAVE to eat more often than that. the more you eat throughout the day, the more your metabolism spikes. when you don't eat, your body thinks it's starving...so it holds on to the food you have by slowing your metabolism down. if you have food in your body, your metabolism will be triggered to break it down.
experts recommend 6 small meals throughout the day, about the size of your fist. since that's not practical for most people, eat 3 balanced meals with healthy snacks in between. NEVER forget that breakfast is the most critical meal.
perhaps the MOST important thing is the mental aspect. you have to WANT it more than anything. dedicate yourself 100%, or dont bother. if you're feeling pain and want to give up, think about the end results...and how much you want it. that alone always pushed me harder than anything. i was f*cking tired of wearing 38" waist pants and having people call me buddah.
there are so many things...picture yourself at the beach with your shirt off, and not feeling any shame. shit like that...mental games with yourself to create motivation. compete with yourself....if you ran 2 miles last time, go for 2.5 miles. if you benched 1xxlbs, try adding a 10 or a 25 next time. when you eat, you should hear a voice in the back of your head that tells you to avoid junk food. listen to that voice, and also remember that whatever hard work you did the day before will be wasted, if you pig out on garbage the next day.
good luck...
