actually, Citizen Kane is good. Orson Wells made it.

great story. Non-traditional protagonist. Also, one of the first movies to "start at the end" kinda, and have a fairly complexe and well executed plot twist.

its definatly better than Casablanca

I've seen "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"...that was pretty
I've also seen a few Hitchcock movies..."North by Northwest" "Vertigo" "Rear Window" (if that's the right title.
I saw those in my 20th Century Film class in High School.

Which reminds me...I add American Graffiti to my list of good movies.
all good films. NxNW ruled

see...I had no idea it was an Orson Welles film.
Casablanca...no thank ya...isn't that like one of the first chick flicks? :chuckles:

oh yeah, as for Singing in the Rain....

yeah, its a musical. Musicals can be a little :ghey:

but it takes place during the transition from silent to talking films. Funny plot. Some pretty funny moments. Plus, the movie was written around the music, as opposed to most musicals which make the music around the movie.....

if you see a musical, see either this or southpark the movie.

lol, AFI did top 100 films.

Kane was number one. Casablanca was number 2.

people argue one or the other is better. On that boat, I vote Kane. But considering when Casablanca came out, and WWII at that time (before the allies really had the upperhand), you can kinda understand the popularity....

Have any of you seen Glengarry Glenn Ross? I heard that it was supposed to be this great movie, and I watched it the other day. Great cast, excellent acting, as **** dialogue...boring as hell movie, though. Absolutely no plot.

I tried it recently and fell asleep.

As you said excellent cast, acting, and actually the story is good but its so slow and boring. Iam all for dialogue but that was all this movie had going for it...not an "A" movie in my book at all.

Well, after I watched it, I found out that it was originally a play...go figure.
