I was going to comment on both of those choices.

To add to the must see list.

The French Connection (best chase scene ever filmed and great movie)
The Proffesional
Dead Poets Society (I really thought highly of this movie for some reason)
Saving Private Ryan
Forrest Gump (Both these movies were very good if not excellent)

it was just a modern pinocio story :dunno:

I thought it was good, for what it was. Even the last 30 minutes nobody seemed to understand..... I dunno why no one got that.

AI and scarface are both sucky movies, IMO. i watched through all of AI, and just never got into or bought any of it. and i freaking fell asleep through scarface. i probably need to watch that again. i only woke up for the fight at the end in the mansion.

then again, i also fell asleep through the first part of LOTR III :exnbp: but i got really into it towards the middle and the never ending end.

Forrest Gump is in my top 5 fa sho! And if we're talking about the same The Professional (with Jean Reno), then yes, that kicked ass also.

Bicentennial Man was a much better rendition of that and they were both based off of Asimovs "I Machine" I believe.

thats the one about the assassin and the little girl, right?

that was a film

28 days later wasn't too bad. I like the potrail of humanity in that one....
"Realistic" story, too. Well, not the zombie part, but the way they'd lock off the brits....

Yes thats the one the semi French movie with the little girl.

You should really check out French Connection if you haven't that is one of my all time favorites but it is kind of hard to find for some reason. I suppose being a mid to late 70s movie doesn't help but it is still a classic on the critics list.

I never saw bicentennial man. But I still think AI was under-rated.

The Iron Giant was good, too
