In general whites are served chilled (not cold) and reds are served room temp. However, there are always exceptions. You might find a red that you like chilled, or a white that's good at room temp.

well i ended up going to this beer/wine place down the street first and even though it looks kinda crappy on the outside, they really have a decent selection. they had Penfold's, but not the shiraz; they had Rodney Strong, but not the savignon blanc; they had a good selection of Robert Mondavi; and they had R.H. Phillips which i like. i ended up asking the manager his opinion between those options and he recommended McPherson Shiraz for the meal i have planned. it was on sale from $12.99 to $7.99 so i took it. anyone ever had that stuff? anyways thanks for all the help guys i hope the little lady enjoys the vino! :cheers:

 

How can you not have Penfold's shiraz? That's undoubtedly the product they're most well known for. :eh:


Never tried that stuff before, but let me know how it is. I'm a big shiraz fan.
