Yes... I'm sure you're proud that you have a president who went AWOL during a time of war... after his father got him transferred to a non-combatant post, to boot.

Or you can lock him up, and allow him to maintain his life but prevent him from continuing his dangerous actions. Or you can attempt to reform him. Or study his life and actions to prevent similar people from following the same course as him... There's loads of things you can do to make a positive outcome from a negative situation.

I can't remember any president in recent history that has been so marred over his record of nonpartisanship, a lack of responsibility to the working class, ignorance of foreign relations and foreign policy, and irresponsibility of the country's fiscal and economic position.

I think most people with a critical eye can see that this administration has manipulated facts and espoused fiction to create so-called legitimate reasons for their actions such as going to war in Iraq, enacting tax cuts for the wealthy, rolling back environmental regulations, and infringing on personal freedoms.

I do not place the entire blame on Bush. He's not smart enough to create all these schemes on his own. Rather I fault the adminstration that has misled us from the start. I'm not sure what the administration's overall goal was, but I can be certain that it does not include prosperity for the average American.

 

Ever heard of the Rwandan genocide? Probably not, since it didn't kill American's, the media doesn't really care about it...

When our president was getting a BJ, our economy was at it's best since World War II... coincidence? I think not?

 

Oh boy if having an affair is the worst you can come up with then you are truly pathetic. His record in office was marred by one incident although morally reprehensibl it wasn't illegal.

What was mentionable about him was the whole Whitewater incident which I agree was a bad call and punishable.....but what you fail to see in your limited view of things is that the issue of Whitewater should have been brought up before he even got a nomination for presidency or should have come out in the race which would have disqualified him.

Instead it didn't come up until they went fishing for a way to get him into more trouble after his affair was made public...a smear campaign is sstill a smear campaign and they failed at it and the man succesfully served two terms in office.

 

It was at its best simply because of things being manipulated..Dont you realize all the enron scams and such were going on during that time period?? It may have seemed the economy was a high roller..It was largely fake..And we've seen the results of this...

Meh.... no they weren't. The seeds for the Enron scam were first truely planted when the CEO of Enron and Cheney had seceret meetings to determine the next head of the federal energy commission, and Enron surprisingly enough got an ex-employee in, who set about a massive deregulation of the energy laws, allowing the Enron scandal to take place.

"Largely fake"? Why was it easier for me to get a higher paying job with my HS diploma than getting a job now with my BA from a University of California?

Yes, the economy did need to take a time to restructure... it has to every once in a while... but a loss of over 2.5 million jobs isn't a "restructuring"
