The 9600 is not a stable card.

BTW in case you didn't know, the 9500 pro is the same as the 9700. The GPU has 8 pipelines, but 4 are blocked off. That is why you have to hack it.

my 9600pro is stable

the 9500 to 9700pro softmod is great but once in a while it wont work

Get the nVidia cards. I have the MSI nVidia Geforce 4 Ti4200 128MB 8xAGP and It runs very very good. It outperform the ATI radion 9000 Pro on my laptop by far.
