Ok, I dont know as much about all this as you guys do, but I took the liberty to send this dude a somewhat nasty email with some of the stuff you guys were saying (I was bored and I like to be an asshole sometimes) Of course He responed....here are some of his comments to things I said:

He said it is a B18 not a B16
He said the ITR strut bar is "missing"
Said sunroof was an option on the Type R
floormats "Ok missing, so what"
Why does it have a ghetto old ass tape player? "Car has a Pioneer stereo and the owner

And why would you spend money on this "lady driven" car and put all the

still...little things throw red flags. b16 manifold, missing parts.... i dont want to generalize...but it is coming from florida

It is definitely an ITR.

You can tell very easily.
The only car to come without a sunroof was the RS as well as the Type-R.

Now, only the Type-R has 5lugs and no door ding protectors.

I know you can "fix" that, but people rarely do both.
Also, an RS has a light in the hatch... not on a spoiler.

true...but there are little things that don't add up.

if the seller can provide close up pictures of the brake master cylinder, engine block and head (stamps) along with an explanation of the B16 intake manifold.

shots of the rear undercarriage (lower ITR tie bar, sway bar) shot of the rear trunk with rear strut bar and explanation of the missing front strut bar.


...those are the things that make a Type R.

5 lug conversion, shaved moldings and light on hatch are fairly easy to mimic nowadays.

:doh: :doh: :doh: That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. 16 means 1600 cc's of displacement. 18 means 1800cc's of displacement. You are an idiot.

They also said the car was never modified. BUT they put the header, exhaust, and lowering springs on because of the LOOK. WTF.

Oh and its obviously an ITR chasis, but it was probably stolen and if it was then I would be very surprised if thats a B18c5.
