Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3
 8/10
I'd give it 9.5/10 if it had Honda.
So far it has been really fun. I enjoy it more than the Japanese version because it's in English and I can read most the stuff. A worthy buy...$30 CDN and they said I overpaid when I ordered it, so I got $5 back and ended up with more credit for GT4 in January.

I think it's so cheap because Crave wanted to fight with NFS:UG? It also came out this summer in Japan so a lot of the hardcore guys have it. I got it then but never really played it....no time, but I think I will invest more time in this one.
Ahhh review. Here it goes.
New features:
-more 'dress up' options; you can paint any section so you can put custom stickers anywhere
-you can tint your windows any colour on rgb scale
-three types of bodykits...regular oem, fiberglass, urethane and carbon fibre. they go from heaviest to lightiest, but if you paint cf, it gains like a tiny bit of weight but it is still lighter than urethane. if you don't paint cf your car looks like a skunk (if it's white)...haha pure junkyard car and it costs A LOT though.
-same old engine mods, has intercooler now
-the rims are from real companies now and you can select +1 +2 rim size
-the tires are cool, you can see the sportier treads
-taillights can be clear, just imagine HID taillights its insane
-blinkers can be oem orange, white or white/black
-you can change guages (free) and oil temp and water temp
-horns
-move your license plate anywhere or leave it off
-quarter mile and 1000m times
-better rival list
-different cars, no more M3 but they have porsches, gms, fords and vw....the missing honda is bad. also lacks the varients of the evo lancers but still has LOTS of nissan
-car setting and tuning is still pretty basic, nowhere near gt3....but it improved. you can adjust alignment.
-handling so far is still pretty crappy but i'm used to it
-ai is A BIT better but still stupid at times....i can destroy a car but in last 5 seconds it comes out from nowhere and almost blows by me
-i started off with an s14 (36k) and you get 40k to start off with so its more than before but the choices of cars are limited....the lancer they give u at the beginning is hideous, it looks like the old jetta but WORSE....the s14 came with hubcaps +no spoiler so that was pretty cool
if you guys want pix ill take some...apparently i got one of the only copies in toronto of this game and the eb guys were like "you're so lucky" but i'm sure it can be found anywhere in the US

oops forgot some
GRAPHICS
-okay la, a lot better than Tokyo Zero but 90% to GT3 in my opinion
-sound is cool, but the shifting....it's weird. i'm glad they added the neutral gear because now you can launch the car unlike before.
CONTROLS
-CRAP, the worst part of the game but at least you can adjust the settings i think
OVERALL
For $30 CDN or $20 US you can't go wrong with this game. If you're on this board it means you like cars so if you have a PS2 it's a must buy. I think this will last me 100 hours of fun and will save $$$ in long-run by having me stay at home.

Just figured out there is adjustable boost pressure too. You can raise your turbo boost during races but it raises your oil and water temp', eventually it screws up your engine so you have to go to your garage to repair it (free). I boosted my s15 from 0.75 to 1.0 and beat an R34
