SSR competitions are also gunmetal with a polished lip. The center doesn't look as dark as the Velox in the picture, but it would look good on a SSBP Teg, I think. A couple of months ago, SCC put a set on their project civic (also blue), and it looked cool. They're really light, too, which is a plus.

I drive a 1999 black gsr and I have an order of 17" Volk Racing LE-37 wheels coming in the next month, ordered via www.diabloautosports.com. I am almost CERTAIN they come in 4-lug (otherwise the guys at diablo wouldn't have ordered it for my gsr, if you know otherwise please let me know so I can try to cancel the order); if they arrive and I see its a 5-lug I'm going to hit the ceiling (then shell out even more money for a 5-lug conversion ). But I'm almost certain they come in 4-lug, and I would highly recommend this wheel..if you don't mind diverting money from other mods to pay for them. h:

I'm also a fan of the black/dark spokes w/polished lip. I haven't seen a black gsr with LE-37's yet, so I'm interested to see how it turns out for my car (ASSUMING THEY COME IN 4-LUG ). I'll post pictures when I do get them put on.

Well...I'm not certain if they come in 4x100 or not. if they do, that'll be good news.
Are you talking about the LE-37Ts, or the LE-37Ks? The Ts are the ones that look sorta like the TE-37, but a little nicer and with a polished lip. the Ks are the mesh looking ones (kinda like the SE-37s).
anyway...if you get them and they fit, let me know...'cause I REALLY want those rims!!

Well, I just confirmed my volk racing LE-37T order. Yes they do come in 4-lug, for any teg owners that are interested.

Honestly..if I was getting a 1500 dollar loan from the bank..I wouldnt be spending it on wheels.....You know how much HP you could get out of 1500 $

Yeah those wheels cost an arm and a leg, but I've always wanted the LE's and they're nice wheels.

In case you're curious, here is my current set-up:

Comptech I/H/E
Ground Controls + Koni yellows (pending install)
OEM kit
17" LE-37's (waiting for another 2-3 weeks or so)

all on a 99 blk gsr. I'll hopefully have pics of the suspension install soon; wheels will have to wait a bit.

Also considering:

Carsounds(?) hi-flo cat
spoon radiator cap h:

The car is driven to and from work 160 miles daily

That's all I've considered getting for now

oh, and don't be limited to pure hp mods; $1500 can buy you some great suspension parts too

My car is a daily driver for me between here and college...I dont want a mindblowing street racer, so I've decided to go w/ a little bit of style mixed with a little bit of performance. So far I only have an Apex'i WS exhaust and my AEM CAI, which needless to say, is good enough for me right now. I'm pretty satisfied with my suspension (Lowering springs and Koni Yellows), but I may add an ITR sway bar and bushings and that whole bit someday. But for now, I just want some nice wheels...I'm thinking of maybe going with the Tenzo R Mean 6 in Gunpowder...those have a polished aluminum lip and I think would look very nice on my car. We'll see as time progresses. Thanks everyone for all the input!

i believe gunmetal is the correct term for that color. nice choice of wheels, although not too many people are crazy about tenzo wheels.

SSR Comps are great wheels for the money. They are fogred which means they are going to be very strong, and very lightweight, not to mention they look great! I think they're about 300 a piece or so. www.tirerack.com sells them...I don't know who else does though.
