Default 18s or 17s

Hey All,

I plan on purchasing racing hart type C2 rims on my Integra GSR. I currently have a JDM Type R conversion on it and is currently in the body shop for paint. My question is would you go 18s or 17s? I want to enter my car in the shows one day, and it seems that 17s don't cut it unless you got mugen rims which you can't get in 18s. I also don't want to rub on my fenders so I plan on purchasing Tein coilovers before I buy the rims to raise the car high enough to avoid rubbing, but I don't know anyone with 18s on their Integ and if they're satisfied with them. I'm not too concerned whether big rims slow your car down, but in terms of looks and driveability, which is better 18s or 17s. Any suggestions???

Well, if you're going show...18's for sure. 17's don't cut it anymore unless you're going with a JDM theme then 16's would be ok. Sounds like you're on the right path in the suspension department. Ever consider Volks? If you can...19's would be crazy and unique...no one really does 19's. However I wouldn't run it on the street. Show only.

BTW I don't think Mugen makes a rim in 17...highest is 16

Thanks evo119 for the advice... 19s are just to wild for me. I would have to look into a sheetmetal wide body kit for that. You might be right about the mugen rims for integras but i know that king motorsports has the new MF10 Mirror Face is a 17" gunmetal-colored MF10 with a machined spoke face, lip, and custom logo center cap for preludes. Maybe the just haven't adertised for the integs but i'm sure they will.

I'd go and check out a bunch of Volks, and pick one out in 18 that you like. I'm a fan of the GT series myself.

17's with a polished lip. That'd look sweet.

17's...

Personally I don't like anything more than 17's on a car, I think 18's would be too much, but its a little give and take. 17's will give you much better ride quality and longer and cheaper tires. With 18's your looking at a rougher ride and much more $$$ for tires, but since its for show... 17's would probably not do the trick anymore.
