WCS did you do a complete replace of your climate control or just swap out the faceplate? just wondering...

Thank you for this info.... 74 and 24's have the same slots?

Cuz they only make 74's in LED's, and not 24's. But 6th gen's have 5 24's!

You can't use the JDM climate control because it is all electronic while the USDM unit is cable & electronic. You'd need the front half of a JDM civic and the ability to read a Japanese Helms manual. :chuckles:

The c/c isn't too hard to take out in the 6th gens. Here's what you do-

1. pop out the clock and disconnect the wiring. use a flat head screwdriver at the bottom of the clock assembly (might want to put some masking tape on the bezel so you don't scratch it up)

2. take out the phillips head screw that's directly behind it. be careful, 'cuz if you drop it you might never see it again

3. take out the two phillips head screws at the bottom of the same bezel

4. the bezel is now only held in with clips. pull straight out


Now I gotta go to autozone and get some of those bulbs :driving:

I am thinking about doing this but I want to make sure I do it right. Where does the one 194 go? and where do the 24 bulbs go?


Does anyone know what bulbs to use for the climate control on a 99 Civic?
