I have a G35C and an '03 S. The G (mostly a Z w/ a back seat) feels like a monster and is lots of fun, great cruizer and has a nice sporty feel to it, but it's a plush HEAVY feeling car that's just not as tossable in turns.
My S continues, as from day ONE to make me smile each time I press that Red button on the Left. Every 9000rpm run with the banshee under the hood wailing at me makes me smile a little wider. She sticks like glue in twisties, and is incredibly nimble.
My S is at least a bit faster than the G even though it may not have the visceral thrust in the seat "feel" the G gives (I have the feeling a 350Z probably evens this up to about a crap shoot and who's a better driver). But if you enjoy curves the S is a LOT more confidence inspiring.
In the end you just need to ask yourself are you a straight line guy or a curve's guy. Good Luck on your decision.
(and Dr. dude, maybe it would be wise to stop regurgitating info you never really digested )

Well for what its worth I own an Altima 3.5se. I wanted a fun to drive weekend car and had a choice between a 03 350z and a 2000 S2k. I went with the S2k. It just feels more like what a sport car should feel like. Plus it was over 4k less.

You need to decide what it is that you want from your car.
The S2000 is a track-oriented, roadster. The 350Z, even in soft-top, is a grand touring (GT) sportscar.
Buy accordingly.
BTW, as an S2000 owner, I am stating that IMHO the best sportscar, dollar for dollar, that's available anywhere in the world is the C5 in Z06 configuration.

Yep I'd say that too.......its hard to outperform that car and almost impossible in that price range

I'd definitely go with the S, as for the speed these 2 cars are so close it will depend on the drivers. I have heard both sides, the Z is faster, the S is faster, like I said it will depend on the driver, good luck.

I would go w/ the s for looks etc. It depends also do you want a Honda or Nissan. Value wise S because H's hold better value. Of course Z is faster 287 hp vs 240.Gas mileage the S(4cyl) especially w/ the gas prices today. I feel overall you can do more w/ the S for looks. But, the real deal you should go test drive both & get into it to see which suits you better.Hp,susp. etc.. Good luck Also for NA their's no better sounding engine next to a Stang other than Vtec Baaaaaaaah !!

S2000 is far superior if you can fit in it...I'm 6'5" so I'd go with the Z based on that fact alone. However, the S2000 owns the Z if you can fit in it. The Z actually kinda looks like a failed Porshe design (way too soft) Depends on what you're looking for, it's an open questions so my decision is based on what I can fit in. Later
