If its not a type R I would trade it.. I traded my 02 base RSX for a 02 type S.. and I am vary happy with my purchase... although a gsr and a type R are also vary nice rides.. soo I guess what it comes down to is if you are ready for a swap or not... I love my DC5 though.. and would only consider trading it for a S2000.. thats my 2

My integra model was only an SE - (no R!)

Don't miss it a bit. The RSX-S is familiar like the integra, but a definite step up.

I would never trade an ITR for the type S. It's just so much more common to see a type S than an ITR. That's my opnion.

You could kinda have the best of both worlds and swap in a type s engine into your integra. Its just a thought...

i went from my gsr to the rsx-s....even if i had a itr somehow i may be inclined to change to the rsx due to lower theft and overall comfort...but of course it all depends on your preferences with your vehicle and what you want out of it

Other than the front suspension differences in the teg (and exterior styling?), the RSX is hands down a better vehicle.

Spending $6000+ to transplant a RSX-S drivetrain into the DC2 is a questionable use of funds. The Teg was a cool car and all, but why spend so much money to make an old beater barely competitive with a new S?

You'll spend as much as it would have cost to just buy a used S, and still be stuck with a 1994 interior and other ageing components - and have a car with almost no resale value.

By stock I take it you mean no engine mods? The power to weight ratio of a k20a2 swap into a dc2 isn't so much better that it's going to shave .7 in the quarter mile. The K20/dc2 is at most 200lbs lighter than a DC5 S

the engine is lighter as well as making 30+ hp in a lighter chassis..you can find type-s motors anywhere from 3000-4500....
low 14's on a stock type-s motor in a dc chassis is not suprising
