Yes, the K20a2 engine is about 80 lbs lighter than the B18C and the STOCK DC2 (GSR) chasis is about 100 lbs lighter than the DC5 S. If you're talking about stripping a DC2 to get to low 14's thats' not a good comparison. You can strip the Type-S - probably more so since it has more equipment to strip out.

I've never heard of a full swap + install costing only $3-$4.5K

never said it was a + install...but the engine, harness, tranny, ecu, blah blah longblock can be had for that much
