Default 2006 Si? Or when?

So there's been articles on the 2006 civic... is there any news when the next gen's Si version will be available? And will it only be in a coupe? (I want a 5 door Si)

The best information available at this particular moment is that the 2006 USDM Civic Si will be available in coupe only.

It will also supposedly have either the K20A2 or K20Z1 motor, and the new Honda Civic Si might replace the entire Acura RSX lineup.

Honda seems to feel that Honda USDM suffered sales losses under the current marketing, and that they'd get more overall sales if they only sold one Civic Si instead of both a Civic and an RSX.

At least, this is what I'm hearing at the moment.

I'm posting again, attaching two images.

Supposedly, the image of the coupe is the upcoming 2006 Civic Si for the USDM.

Supposedly, the image of the hatch is the upcoming 2006 Civic Si for the UK and Europe.

:wtf:

Those are not very attractive in my opinion. I'm not sure that even really good marketing will help those cars.

I think the first pic might have a shot, the the other pic from the UK is ugly as hell, I wouldnt even want to see it on the road. Honda should have stayed with the 2004 civic coupe design with a longer hood with a k20 motor to pump out 200-210 hp. In my opinion, I think honda sucked at this design and ruined my hopes of a sweet Si.

I wish Honda would jump on the 5 door bandwagon. And with the Si.

I think honda shoulda stuck with the style that they tossed in 2001!!!!!!!!!! They should have never went to a hatchback in the first place!

the older coupe design was made to please the people who didnt like the hatch. i think its great honda brought the Si back into its original form. true, alot of people still dont like it, but its true to the heritage of the Si. it was always a hatch in the past. well before the coupe.
