Default 350z owner , new to the RSX scene.....got some Q's.

I am getting rid of my 350z for something more practical in everyday use. I use to be on this board in the Accord forums back in 2000 driving this...

So due to issues with the 350z, I am now going back to Honda/Acura for a new vehicle. I was very impressed with how the Rsx Type S Aspec handled itself on the road. I found a 2004 Titanium Metallic 6speed Rsx Type S Aspec on the lot that I could talk them down in price from the 29,000 they were asking. I can walk out the door with it for 24,500, so I am pretty much getting the Aspec package for free.

Now for the questions:

More power and how to get it naturally aspirated i.e. exhaust, intake, pullys, headers, hondata. How much power does all this add and what are the best components to get and the price.

What has been the best 0-60 time achieved in stock form and the 1320 et??

Who makes the best blacked out headlights for the car, cause I sure love em....

Personally if it were me, I would much rather have the 2005 RSX-S, it's better than the 02-04, a bump in power, revised suspension, bigger wheels, and new front and rear fascia. You should be able to get a 05 S for 24K. If you decide to get the 04 the hondata flash is highly reccommended for performance. I'm not sure as to which I/H/E setup is the best. 1/4 mile times vary with drivers and modifications. I've seen anywhere from 14.0-16.0 with driver changes and mods. Honda of Japan makes the best "blacked out headlights"

The only problem is, I really like that Aspec package, and I really dont like what they have done with the rear and front headlights. It looks to conservative now......(typical Honda fashion : )

I thought the 2004 took mods exceptionally well too?

I came from the Z also. It wasnt an everyday car, nice to drive, good power, just not a daily. I just got a 2005 Rsx-S, you should look into it, im lovein it so far, but which ever one you get, you cant go wrong. Good luck

Yeah, we are definantly going to get it...

After doing a little bit more research I think the RSX takes to mods really well.

With just simple bolt ons you can be pushing 215 hp to the wheels.Equipped with an Ingen Intake, Fujitsubo Powergetter Exhaust, DC Sports Race Header, and Hondata #4......you can almost keep up with a 350z....is this information correct????

Are you sure, I have seen a few cars pushing around 210 hp to the wheels in their sigs, with 1/4 mi times of 13.7-9 @ 100+ trap speeds. The very best a Z can do stock is 13.6 @ 102 and that is with an excellant driver??

I guess the 350 is pretty damn well equipped. I think a good driver could in the RSX could spank the 350, but I think the 350 is better equipped overall. But then again I haven't driven either one. :dunno:
