Default Tire Recommendations (5th Gen Base)

Hi All,

What is the lastest recommendations on tire replacement? I'm looking for something that is equal to the stock tire or better. I do drive in the snow during the winter.

How about brands I should stick with or stay away from

Would you recommend tirerack? Is it really that much cheaper?

How about Costco?

TIA!!!!

tirerack is the absolute cheapest source for tires. getting them installed is another issue, it's kind of a pain in the ass.

still i would recommend yokohama avs es100's or kumho ecsta 712's depending on your budget. the new kumho mx's are highly regarded by the auto-x crew.

if you've got lots of money, the s03's are always a solid tire.

are you staying with the stock sizes or do you have an aftermarket wheel setup?

Then again-I like the RE730 for open road and track days. The handling on a road course is very good and wet weather is not a major problem.

I use to own a prelude. But you can't go wrong with yoko AVS1

I now own an M3, and have S03's wrapped around my 19's. they are by far the best tires I've ever ever had. BUT don't even think about using that tire to drive in the snow.

A cheaper alternative also is the Continental ContiSports 2. They're pretty good and they're relatively cheap
